Description

Keepers Cottage is a cottage that dates from the 16th century or earlier, with later additions and alterations. It has a timber frame and is rough rendered, featuring some pargetting on the original section. The roof is covered with red plain tiles and has two levels. There are two red brick chimney stacks at the ends. The left range is one storey and has an attic, which includes two gabled dormers. The cottage has a three-window range of 19th and 20th century casements. To the right, there is a 19th century bake house. Inside, notable features include a framed side purlin roof, chamfered bridging joists, and vertically boarded doors.
