Description

This milestone, located immediately southeast of the southeast corner of Mile Stone Barn Cottage, is likely from the 18th century. It is square in shape, approximately 1 metre tall, and features a flat hipped top with a benchmark on the east face. The inscription on the east face, which reads "XX miles," is partly eroded. The milestone was buried during the Second World War and has been recently re-erected.
