Description

Wingtons is an 18th century cottage, originally a group of cottages. The building is timber-framed, with some areas rendered with plaster and others clad in weatherboarding. It has a red plain tiled roof, and no chimney is visible from the road. The front has five window bays, featuring a mix of casement windows, horizontal sash windows, and vertical sash windows. The ground-floor windows on the left and right are a shop bay and a projecting oriel with bracket supports respectively. A vertically boarded door is on the left, with a plain fascia and flat canopy above. The door to the right has four panels and a transom light, with a moulded canopy supported by brackets. A shop inventory from the late 18th century refers to this property.
