Description
The Bell Inn is a public house that dates back to the early 16th century, with 17th century and later additions and alterations. It features an exposed timber frame and has red plain tiled roofs. The building has two storeys and includes single-storey extensions on the right side, as well as off-centre left and external right red brick chimney stacks.
On the left side, there is a jettied gabled wing that has an acorn and oak leaf carved bressumer. The windows are arranged in a 1:4:1 pattern with vari-light leaded mullions, except for the right extension, which has a 19th century bay window with vertically sliding sashes. There are two doors in the central range: the left door is vertically boarded, while the right door leads to a 20th century enclosed red tiled gabled porch with a vertically boarded door. Additionally, there is a four-panelled door to the right extension.
