Description
The Hurdlemaker's Arms is a public house dating from the 17th and 18th centuries, with a 19th-century left range and later alterations. It features a timber-framed structure that is rough rendered, topped with a red plain tiled roof. At the rear, there is an outshot and a central red brick chimney stack. The building is one storey high with attics, which include two gabled dormers. The façade has two 20th-century two-light casement windows and a centrally located vertically boarded door with a moulded surround and a flat canopy above. To the left, there is a two-storey gable with a left outshot. The window arrangement consists of small-paned vertically sliding sashes in moulded surrounds, and there is a four-panelled door with a moulded surround and flat canopy leading to the outshot. Inside, the internal walls reveal exposed timber framing with through bracing.
