Description
West Farm Barn is a former barn that has been converted into a house. It mainly dates from the 18th century, although the lower walls may be from the 17th century. The conversion took place around 1970. The building features brick walls that are buttressed and a hipped thatched roof, along with a central brick chimney stack added in the 20th century. It is now two storeys high. The elevation facing the road retains slit openings, while the east entrance has vertical boarding and small inserted windows. On the south side, there is a projecting hipped cart porch filled with glazing and vertical timbering, along with an open porch to the right. The right end has garage doors. The ground floor includes three 20th-century casement windows with glazing bars, and there are four similar windows on the first floor. The interior has been remodelled.
