Description

Disty's is a house dating from around 1700. It is a long, one-storey building with attics and features a roof made of a mix of peg and pantiles, which is fly-hipped. There is a single red brick chimney stack located near the north end. The house has five gabled dormers that contain small-paned sash windows. The walls are white weatherboarded where they are still intact, and there are two modern doors along with several modern windows of different styles. A 19th-century shop window unit is positioned under the second dormer from the north. Inside, the timber frame is visible in some areas, and the floors are supported by heavy, deep-sectioned joists between binders.
