Description
Weir Farmhouse is a house dating from around 1700. It is timber framed and plastered, with some weatherboarding at the rear. The roof features red plain tiles and has a double range design, with a gambrel shape on the front range. There are red brick chimney stacks on both the right and left sides. The house has two storeys and attics, with two gabled dormers. On the first floor, there are three small paned vertically sliding sash windows. The ground floor features two 19th-century square bay windows, also with vertically sliding sashes that have horns. A central gabled porch, supported by brackets, has a two-panel, four-light door. Inside, there are remnants of an earlier frame and some 18th and 19th-century doors.
