Description
Nos. 96 and 98 Daws Heath Road are a pair of cottages dating from the 18th to 19th century. They are timber framed and weatherboarded, topped with a red plain tiled roof. The cottages feature a central gault brick chimney stack and have a single-storey rear extension added to No. 98 in the 20th century. They are one storey with attics, which include two catslide dormers fitted with 19th-century two-light small paned casements. The front of the cottages has two 19th-century central vertically sliding sash windows with glazing bars and pentice boards above. The doors on the left and right are vertically boarded. The guttering is supported on triangular brackets. Inside No. 96, there are vertically boarded doors with ironmongery, original stairs around the chimney, and stop-chamfered spine beams with run-out stops in both properties.
