Description
The Round House is a lodge cottage built in the mid-19th century. It features hexagonal plastered brick walls and a hexagonal hipped grey slate roof with leaded ridges. The roof terminates in a central plastered chimney stack that has a moulded base and capping, along with two red chimney pots. The building is single storey, with each wall face having a light casement window with a fanlight above, except for the central face facing the road, which has a vertically boarded door and windows on either side. To the left of the main structure is a 20th-century single storey extension that uses matching materials and has a gable above the garage doors. The Round House was originally built as the lodge to Cross Farm.
