Description

The Lodge is a lodge cottage built in the mid-19th century, with extensions added in the 20th century. It features walls made of red brick and flint, and has a thatched roof. The original structure is designed in a T-plan, with a central entrance and a chimney stack that has two flues located in the middle of the building. The 20th-century extensions have flat roofs and are positioned in both angles of the original structure. The cottage is a single storey and includes an original porch with one casement window on each side. The roof is hipped, and the chimney shafts are moulded with diaper banding. The Lodge was built between 1847, as indicated by the tithe map, and 1874, according to the first edition of the 6-inch Ordnance Survey map.
