Description
The Crown Public House is a public house with origins dating back to the 17th century, featuring 19th century and later alterations. It is constructed with a timber frame and plastered exterior, displaying batten decoration on the upper floors. The building has a double range roof covered in grey slate with red ridge tiles and features chimney stacks on the right and off-center left of the front range. It stands three storeys tall and has a five-window range set between pilasters, showcasing small paned vertically sliding sash windows, except for a name plaque located on the first floor of the second window. The ground floor includes segmental headed arches in the second and fourth bays, with recessed board doors and top lights. The first and third bays have tripartite small paned vertically sliding sashes, with the third bay also featuring a recessed board door, while a small paned sash window is present in the fifth bay.
