Description

The town pump, located on the pavement in front of number 83 on Rayleigh High Street, dates from the 19th century and is made of cast iron. It features an attractive urn shape on a panelled and moulded base, with the lower half adorned with foliate decoration and a foliated spout. The neck and top of the pump also have moulded rings and foliate decoration. A fixed curved bracket supports the curved handle.
