Description

The Post Office located on Churchgate Street, dating back to at least 1664, is a double range building with a cross-wing at the north end. The roof features both gabled and hipped ridges, covered with peg tiles. A red brick chimney stack is positioned centrally on the front range. The first storey of the cross-wing has a set of three leaded casement windows, while the ground storey includes some modern alterations, including shop windows.
