Description

No 15 Churchgate Street is a house dating from around 1600. It features an exposed timber frame on the northern side facing Mill Lane, with side-girt construction. The building has two storeys and a steeply pitched roof covered with peg tiles, which is hipped at the north end. There is a red brick chimney stack on the return at the north side. At the southern front, there is a semi-hexagonal bay window that rises two storeys, containing three small paned sash windows on both levels. The first storey has a range of four small paned sash windows located beneath the eaves. A modern projecting shop unit obscures the ground storey on the north side.
