Description
Baytree Cottage is a house dating from around 1700. It is constructed of timber and has a front made of painted brick. The building is two storeys high and has a rectangular plan that is two bays long. The roof is ridged, gabled, steeply pitched, and covered with slates. There are two end chimneys made of red brick.
On the ground storey, there are two pairs of double door sliding sashes with small panes. The first storey features two pairs of triple sliding sashes, with a door and casements on either side, as well as two flat dormers that have small-paned casements. To the right, there is a weatherboarded lean-to. The roof is gambrelled and covered with a mix of peg tiles and pantiles. A wing forms an L-plan at the northern side of the building.
