Description

This is a two-story and attic block, dating to 1725. It is located to the south-east of Weavershed House in Dedham. A date panel on the front reads “1725 J.G.”, referring to Jas. Godherd, who held the office of Churchwarden that year. The roof is tiled, and there’s a parapet on the south side. The south front includes a Dutch gable with a pair of sash windows. The first storey has four sashes with straight arches and brick cornices, while the ground storey features a single, large window with small panes on the north end. The rendered and rusticated ground storey is contrasted by three first-story windows with brick pediments. The north side has a three-window range with small-paned sashes above a first-floor band. A central doorcase is present, featuring a truncated brick pediment and matching sash windows on either side.
