Description

Lower Park is an early 19th century house with a complex design. It was built using grey gault brick in English bond, with a slate roof. The house is two storeys high with attics, and has round-headed dormers—one in the south hip of the east range and four along each pitch of the roof. The windows are small-paned hornless sashes. Ground-floor windows are set beneath straight, gauged arches. On the south side of the semi-hexagonal end of the north-south range, there are three-part sashes with mullions. An level string course is present, dentilled in brick. The east face of the north-south range features a pediment, with stone urns at the returns of the parapets, and several gault brick chimney stacks. The southern elevations have been altered.
