Description

Nos 42 and 44 on Churchgate Street are a pair of 18th-century buildings. They are timber framed and plastered, featuring black weatherboards beneath the window sills of the ground storey. The roof is ridged and fly hipped, with eaves and peg tiles. A central red brick chimney stack is present. On the first storey, there are four leaded casement windows, with four matching windows directly below them on the ground storey. The buildings have two plain doors, each topped with a flat hood.
