Description

Nos 89 and 91 on Newland Street are a pair of 18th-century houses that are timber-framed and plastered. They stand two storeys high and feature a four-window range with double-hung sash windows; two of these have glazing bars while the other two have single vertical glazing bars, all set in flush cased frames. On the first storey, there is a three-light bay window. The ground floor has been altered to accommodate 20th-century shops. The roof is tiled. These houses are included for their group value with nearby buildings.
