Description

London House is an 18th-century timber-framed and plastered house with a red brick front and parapet. It is three storeys high and has a three-window range. The windows are double-hung sashes with glazing bars, set in plain reveals. The ground floor has a large, central bow shop window with glazing bars and an ornamented cornice. Two flanking doorways feature fluted pilasters and flat cornice hoods supported by paired brackets. One doorway has a six-panel door. The roof is tiled. London House forms a group with numbers 72 and 78 (even), numbers 86 to 92 (even), the Congregational Chapel, numbers 61 to 65 (odd), and numbers 83 to 91 (odd).
