Description

Orchard Cottage is a building with probable origins in the 16th century that was altered in the 18th century. It stands two storeys high and features two windows with lower half bays on either side. The front is weatherboarded while the rear is rendered. The main part of the house has a roof covered in double roman tiles with raised verges, and the gable end chimneys have been repaired in brick. The windows are later casements. There is a central front door that is glazed, along with two doors at the rear of the east extension. Inside, the ground floor is heavily framed in oak, with an 18th-century first floor added above.
