Description
Oak End is a house dating from the 17th century and incorporating earlier fabric. It is timber-framed, with the frame exposed at the north end; the frame was not externally wind-braced. The east side has black weatherboards, and a first-storey wall and a south-end wall are also weatherboarded. The roof is ridged, gabled, and covered in peg tiles, featuring a distinctive chimney stack with six shafts. The front (east) of the house has two Edwardian sash windows on the first storey, while the ground storey is rendered and contains two matching sash windows.
