Description

The barn south of Netteswellbury House is a 15th-century structure of uncertain purpose, likely used for agricultural activities. It features a timber frame with black weatherboards and a ridge and gabled roof covered in peg tiles. The north end has a fly-hip and there are four stable doors. The building is designed with aisles, jowled posts, arch-braced and wind-braced side-purlins, and singly bladed scarfs to the top-plates. The footings are made of red brick laid in Flemish bond.
