Description

This is a barn located to the south of New Farmhouse, dating from the 15th century or earlier, which has recently been re-clad. It features a timber frame and is weatherboarded, with a roof covered in corrugated iron that has hips and gablets. The barn consists of five bays and includes a central gabled midstrey. The walls are constructed with arched bracing and have arch braces supporting the tie beams. The roof now includes side purlins but retains remnants of a two-armed crownpost structure. The top plates show halved and bridled scarfs.
