Description

The brewhouse at the rear of Hobbans Farmhouse dates from the 17th or 18th century. It is constructed from timber framing and plaster, featuring a roof that is partly covered with red plain tiles and partly with pantiles. The roof is of side purlin construction and includes queen struts at the chimney end. There is a red brick chimney stack and a fireplace with a mantel beam. The walls are supported by through bracing, and the structure includes halved and bladed scarf joints.
