Description
This listing describes a group of seven tombs in the churchyard of St Germain, dedicated to the Poole family. The tombs are dated 1812, 1809, 1719, 1731, 1804, 1765, and 1734. They are located adjacent to four table tombs of the same family and are within 30 feet of the east wall of the church. All the tombs are in good condition and closely resemble each other, featuring elaborate fan decorations on the headstones and inscribed coroll work. The Poole family lived at the nearby Bobbingworth Hall.
