Description

The gate lodge located to the south-east of Wakes Hall is an early 19th-century structure built of gault brick. It is a single-storey building featuring a hipped slate roof and a central gault chimney stack. The front door, which has six panels, is positioned to the left within a wide pedimented case. To the right of the door, there is a small pane sash window set in a four-centred head. Similar sash windows are also found in the flank walls. The eaves are detailed with troughing, and the ridge and hips of the roof are lead flashed.
