Description
Wakes Hall is an early 19th-century house constructed of gault brick in Flemish bond. It stands two storeys high and features three bays. The ground floor includes a central portico supported by fluted Tuscan columns and an entablature, with a small double-hung sash window on either side. The first floor has three sash windows, all beneath straight stucco heads. The building is topped with four gault brick chimney stacks. On the north-west flank wall, there is a semi-circular bow window with three double-hung sashes on both the ground and first floors. The roof is square, hipped, and slated, with wide eaves soffits. The east flank has a three-storey tower block featuring sash windows with marginal panes, two on each storey. This tower is capped with a hipped slate roof adorned with a modillioned cornice and has a central gault brick chimney stack.
