Description

Wakes Colne House is a 17th century timber-framed house that has been cased in gault brick. It forms one wing of a large house arranged in a T-plan and features double ridged roofs that are slated and hipped on the longest range. The older section of the house has a three-window range of small pane hornless sashes on the first storey. The prominent front door is centrally located on the ground storey at the east side. Additionally, there is a three-storey 19th century tower at the north-west corner, which has heavily dentilled eaves.
