Description
The Old Lodge is a gate lodge built around 1820, with a small addition from the 20th century. It is constructed of painted and rendered brick, featuring painted stone dressings and a shallow hipped slate roof. The building has two painted and rendered brick chimney stacks and is a single storey with a deep painted stone plinth. The main front has a central doorway with a 20th-century half-glazed door set within a painted ashlar door surround. On either side of the doorway are single 2-light windows with iron frame lattice casements. The left side has one additional 2-light window with similar iron frame lattice casements, while the right side has two matching windows. The rear elevation includes a central doorway flanked by single windows.
