Description

The Branch Library, formerly a Technical School, was built in 1865. It is constructed of grey gault brick with red brick dressings and features a grey slate roof with boxed eaves and verges. This single-storey building has a side wall that includes seven recessed panels for windows, each with semi-circular heads, prominent keystones, and archivolts. There is a moulded brick eaves course along the top. The front of the building has a recessed panel with a semi-circular head that encloses a circular plaque. An entrance porch is located on the north side.
