Description

The Chestnuts is an early 19th-century building made of plastered brick, topped with a grey slate hipped roof. It has three storeys and features a four-window range with vertical sliding sashes that include glazing bars. The building has a projecting wooden eaves cornice. The eastern half of the front showcases two late 19th-century, two-storey bay windows. There is a Doric porch with an arched window above it, and a large semi-circular bay window facing the garden. Some original detailing can still be found inside.
