Description

A row of four cottages dating from the 17th century and later, constructed of timber framing and red brick with gabled peg tile roofs. The westernmost unit is two stories high, featuring red brick on the ground floor and plaster above. It has a mix of double-hung sash windows with small panes and 19th and 20th century casements. The central two cottages are rendered and have two small dormers each, along with one wider lean-to dormer. These cottages have a pair of simple entrance doors and 20th-century casements with small panes. The easternmost structure is single-story with attics, largely built of red brick and with a rendered and jettied gable at the east end. A large lean-to dormer with leaded lights and double-hung sash windows with small panes are present. A later parallel range extends from the rear of this building. The cottages are included for group value.
