Description

The barn at Lodge Farm is a timber-framed and weatherboarded structure dated 1838, as inscribed on a tie beam with the initials "NCB 1838 SB Builder". It has a red brick plinth and a grey slate roof. The barn comprises three bays, with a gabled porch extension on the north side. The original timber frame is largely complete internally, featuring unusual truncated scissor trusses alternating with tie beams, and a side purlin roof.
