Description
The Old Rectory is a house that dates from the 17th century or earlier. It features a timber frame with plaster and has gabled roofs covered in peg tiles. The main section of the house has a shorter parallel range at the rear, along with a block at right angles that was added in the early 19th century, constructed from painted gault brick and topped with a slate roof. The building is two storeys high and has a small off-centre ridge line stack on the main block, as well as a gault brick stack on the early 19th-century extension at its northern gable end. The front of the house includes four 20th-century casement windows with small panes, situated above five French doors that also have small panes. There is a 20th-century pedimented doorcase located on the east side of the building.
