Description

Thorncroft Farmhouse is a farmhouse that dates from the 16th century or earlier. It is timber framed and plastered, designed in an L-plan form, featuring two clay pantile roofs with Suffolk verges and a small section of half hipped peg tile roof. The windows are 19th-century casements with a single horizontal glazing bar. There is a very small, central ridgeline stack on a wain block, along with a later stack against the rear wall. The building includes a small open hall house with a later inserted floor. The parlour end has interrupted tie beams and a door at each end of the parlour wall. The block at the front has later framing.
