Description
The barn at Lodge Farm is a small structure, likely built in the late 18th century. It is constructed from thin coursed rubble stone and features a stone slate roof. The northeast side has a central flush entry with a timber lintel and slit vents on either side. Originally, there was an opposed flush entry that has since been bricked in, and other openings on the rear wall are also blocked. A lean-to extends along most of the rear of the barn. Inside, the barn consists of six bays with collar and tie beam trusses supported by queen post struts. There is a stone partition wall in the second bay, with a timber partition above it, and a blocked doorway on the far left of the front. Additionally, there is an entrance on the left gable end, which has a shuttered pitch hole above it.
