Description

These three cottages, forming a single building, have a core dating to the mid-to-late 17th century, with a later addition to the right, likely from the 18th century. The cottages are constructed of rubble stone, with a Cotswold stone-slate roof. They feature one stone gable stack to the right, one brick ridge stack, and one front stone lateral stack to the left.

The buildings form an L-shape, with number 8 set as a rear wing. The street facade includes an entrance to number 9, and a projecting full-height gable to the left of centre, now housing a stairwell with two single stone lights and a square hoodmould. Other windows include a gabled dormer, and 2 and 3-light stone mullion windows, some with flat and others with hollow-moulded frames and square hoodmoulds to the right. A gabled 2-light eaves casement and a similar window below are positioned to the left, both with smooth lintels and quoins. A 19th-century steep gabled porch, with double-panelled doors, is situated across the junction of the original section and the later addition to the right.
