Description

Clare Cottage is a cottage that was originally part of a handed pair, dating from the early 19th century and renovated in the late 20th century. It features a clay bat construction on a brick and flint plinth, topped with a steeply pitched long straw thatch roof and a shared grey brick ridge stack. The cottage is two storeys high and has two three-light casements and two additional casements on the first floor. On the ground floor, one of the doorways has been blocked, while the other is concealed by a single-storey porch projection at the front. There is also a late 20th-century wing at the rear. Inside, there are two rebuilt small hearths.
