Description

No. 18 Rose Lane is a cottage dating from around 1700. It has a timber frame, is rendered, and features a long straw thatch roof with a single flue ridge stack. The roof is hipped on the right side and half hipped on the left. The building has one storey and an attic, with two dormers. The windows are mostly late 20th century, except for an original three-light casement window on the right side of the front. Inside, some of the framing is exposed, showcasing substantial straight bracing and studwork that is similar to that found in The Pink Geranium on Station Road.
