Description

No. 10 Station Road is a cottage dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century. It features a timber frame with lathe and plaster that is partly incised for stone ashlar. The roof is made of combed wheat reed, half-hipped, and has a ridge stack. The building has a two-bay lobby entry plan with a lower kitchen and dairy addition at the rear. It is one storey with an attic and includes two dormers. There are two casement windows on either side of the doorway, which has an early 19th-century narrow hood supported by cut brackets. In 1839, the cottage was occupied and owned by Ellis Smith. The interior has not been seen.
