Description

MELBOURN STATION ROAD TL 3844 (South west side) 24/207 No. 31 (Millside) II

Cottage. Late C17 and mid-late C20 extension. Timber framed, rendered and half-hipped, thatched roof. Red brick ridge stack. C.20 extension forms L-plan to the original three bay cottage. One storey and attic. Two dormers. Small pane, late C20 casements to front wall. The original doorway is now concealed, and the present doorways, one in the left hand gable end and another to the right hand front wall, now blocked, reflect a sub division of the early C19. To the left hand is an outbuilding. C19. Brick with inter-locking tile roof. At the rear C19 timber framed, weatherboarded barn, slated.
