Description
Didgley Cottage is a cottage dating from the mid to late 17th century, which has been extended and altered in the late 20th century. It is timber-framed with brick infill and features a reed thatched roof, with a boarded gable end and a rebuilt ridge stack. The cottage has a straight range plan consisting of three units and a lobby-entry doorway. It is one storey high with an attic, and there is one 20th-century dormer on the front. The doorway is located opposite the stack, and there is a 20th-century casement window at ground floor level. The exposed framing shows small panels with short straight upward bracing. To the north, there is an adjoining bay from the 17th century, which is also timber-framed with brick infill and is colourwashed, featuring a cement tiled roof. The late 20th-century extension is not considered to have special architectural interest.
