Description

Melbourn War Memorial is made of limestone and is situated outside All Saints Church on a green area at the junction of Station Road and High Street. The memorial features a Latin cross atop a tall, tapering octagonal shaft, which has a carved wreath at its base. This shaft rises from a chamfered square plinth that sits on a five-stepped base, bringing the total height to approximately 5.4 meters.

The plinth is inscribed with the dedication: 1914 – 1918/ IN/ MEMORY/ (NAMES)/ WORLD WAR/ 1939 – 1945/ (NAMES).
