Description

The Mixbury War Memorial is located at the edge of All Saints’ churchyard. It features a limestone cross approximately 4 meters high, with an octagonal shaft that stands on a plinth, which is set on a two-stage base. Each side of the plinth is adorned with a blind arcade of three gothic arches. The inscriptions framed within these arches are as follows:

On the first face: "GREATER LOVE HATH NO MAN THAN THIS."
On the second face: (3 NAMES).
On the third face: "TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND IN LOVING MEMORY OF THE MEN OF THIS PARISH WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES FOR THEIR COUNTRY IN THE GREAT WAR 1914 – 1918."
On the fourth face: "1939 – 1945" (2 NAMES).
