Description
The Old School House is a building that was originally constructed as a school house in 1838 and has since been converted into a house, with some alterations made in the 20th century. It is built from squared coursed limestone and features a steeply pitched slate roof with stone coped gables and moulded finials, along with stone end stacks. The building is designed in the Gothic Revival style and has a three-unit plan, standing two storeys tall.
The elevation facing the churchyard is only one storey high and includes a four-window range at the rear. The entrance, located to the left and accessed by steps, features a pointed arched doorway with a hood mould and label stop. There is also a casement and sash window with hood lintels. To the left of the entrance, there is a gabled bay that contains a lancet window in the gable, topped with a cross at the apex.
On the rear side, there are four metal casement windows on the first floor, positioned above four carriage entrances that have elliptical stone arched heads. These wagon sheds were previously used by Glebe Farm. The interior of the building has not been inspected.
