Description
Widmore Farmhouse is a building that consists of two cottages, now functioning as a farmhouse, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a steeply pitched thatched roof with brick ridge and end stacks. Originally designed as two separate two-unit plans, it has been modified into a four-unit plan. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has a four-window range. Approximately in the center, there is an entrance with a panelled door and a moulded wood surround. There are also blocked entrances that have brick flat arches. On the ground floor, there are four three-light wood casement windows, and the first floor has four similar windows. Most of the windows are adorned with lead cames. The farmhouse was built after the enclosure movement. The interior has not been inspected.
