Description

White Cottage is a cottage that was originally a pair, dating from the early 18th century. It has undergone renovations and additions in the 20th century. The building is timber-framed and plastered, topped with a thatched roof that is half hipped to the right. There is a red brick ridge stack and a gault brick end stack on the left side. The cottage has one storey and an attic. The north elevation features five ground floor casement windows and a 20th-century door, along with one dormer window. A modern porch has been added to the entrance at the west end. Inside, the cottage showcases exposed timber framing and a relined open hearth.
