Description
Mill House Cottage is a cottage from the early 18th century that has undergone some alterations and additions in the 20th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and plastered exterior, featuring 18th-century panelled decoration. The roof is ridged and originally thatched, but it is now covered with pantiles. The cottage has two storeys and follows an original two-unit lobby entry plan, with a central ridge stack. The gable faces the street and includes three 20th-century casement windows, while the main entrance is located in a 20th-century side extension. Inside, there are relined open hearths and a stop-chamfered ceiling beam, which originally had a trap-door entry to the first floor.
